Cross Country Skiing

Skiers will delight in the groomed cross-country ski trails at the Mount Van Hoevenberg Olympic Ski Area and Cascade Cross Country Ski Center. The 40 mile Jackrabbit trail which runs from Keene to Saranac Lake is a picturesque option for back country skiing for the whole family.

Many back country ski options exist including the popular Marcy Dam trail, Avalanche Lake, as well as more challenging terrain such as Wright Peak, Mount Marcy, and the many slides which abound in the High Peaks area.
